A plug-in hybrid Prius from Toyota is expected in 2011. The vehicle will use a lithium-ion battery to power the car for the first 14 miles after which the gas engine will take over powering the car. Depending upon how the car is driven, it could deliver as much as 134 miles per gallon. The price of the car has not been disclosed, but Toyota wants to keep it affordable.
