The Department of Energy has made a $50 million conditional loan guarantee to The Vehicle Production Group to develop a six passenger, wheelchair accessible vehicle that will run on compressed natural gas. The MV-1 will emit fewer emissions than a similar sized gasoline powered vehicle.
Wind power researchers in the US and Belgium have created a model for where to place large turbines on a wind farm. The researchers used computer models to determine the turbulence created by individual turbines and determined the distance between them for large wind farms.
Denver, CO based Raven Brick, has created a new green building product, Raven Skin. This material converts sunlight into infrared that can be stored and released at a later time. This material when used as a wall will keep the heat out when it is not wanted and let the heat in when it is wanted.
